Mukula trade, a hidden business!

Editor,

Some of us have just learnt how mukula trees fetch or is on the attractive market or is a money spinner I wonder why it has been known so late .The business of mukula trade seems to have been hidden from the public. I don’t think this is the only avenue of business that we don’t see or talk about. Zambia is blessed with a lot  of resources that the nation should benefit from .I would employ government to educate the general public about all business ventures Zambia is doing .This can be published in some book for every Zambian to read if there is one if non exists let it be created.

Chipolopolo defence porous

Editor,

Our national soccer team should mind back line. Looking at how the Zambia national team performed on the two friendlies, the team has allowed a goal on each which not safe in the game of football more especially that these two teams we have played are clubs. What more national teams we are yet to meet. I am concerned.

Poverty reduction is the key

Editor,

It is good that copper prices have increased. However, have we considered a new way of making this metal to uplift the living standards of the Zambian people? I mean we shouldn’t just boast about production and the selling price but how to transform our copper into lifting the poor from poverty. I do feel this should our goal.

Kambwili the most crooked politician

Editor,

Chishimba Kambwili is the most crooked politician ever. It’s only that people don’t know his background and ECL has decided not to engage him by exposing him. Anyway he is giving him enough rope to hang himself. By the time Kambwili comes to his senses he will be as broke as a hyena. He has seen that he can’t make it financially up to 2021 so he’s trying to bring the process closer but it will not happen. His colleague Mwenya Musenge lost to an Independent so who cheats him that he can be popular at national level.

Alex Ng’onga is now  a good striker

Editor,

Mr Wedson Nyirenda, Alex Ng’onga is a good striker with lots of experience. He can sneak through defenders. He has passed through lots of criticism. That has made him stronger, resilient and more determined. He is a bulldozer. He must start the game. He must be in the starting line-up. Friday Samu is an upcoming striker. Not exposed to big games. He has gone through little criticism from the soccer fans. He is good too but he should come second choice to Alex.

Don’t politicise the fight against cholera

Editor,

Next time, the government must not make a political decision regarding the problems the nation might face. The political command should be to the Ministry of Health who should define the required resources and then the government provides them. The approach used has delayed the results in that while the politically targeted places are cleaned, shops closed and church gatherings suspended, number of cases are still rising daily and spreading to other towns. If the right approach was taken, cases would have dwindled substantially and spread to other towns limited. But now, there we are as if no measures have been taken and at a huge cost.

It’s time to pray for our country

Editor,

Trying to escape cholera you get blocked by army worms trying to make a turn here comes ritual murders.  What next, nobody knows? On a serious note there is a lot of evil going on around this period in our country despite being a Christian nation. Let’s join hands together and turn to the Lord God Almighty for He is the only solution to all this, prayer is all we need.

Resign on moral grounds

Editor,

Politicians should be resigning voluntarily on moral grounds when they see abuse of authority and government resources rather than pretend to be clean. Mature minds keep quiet and their life journey continues rather than developing verbal diarrhoea.

Why Chinese reservists, IG must explain

Editor,

At the rate we are moving I won’t be surprised if we wake up to a sold country. Employees in the police force are not allowed to marry foreigners but why then employee foreigners to work in our government and can a Zambian be given such a post in their own country? I don’t think so. Please let’s not just wake up and make such decisions anyhow, they will cost us in our own country.
